Cedar Grows: Our Journey and Core Beliefs
Cedar Grows International Schools is a co-educational boarding school which began in 2017 with a simple dream: to create a nurturing space where children can learn, grow, and flourish. Our journey started with a small group of passionate educators who believed in the power of strong foundations and personal connections. Today, we are proud to be one of the top schools in Lagos, dedicated to developing well-rounded individuals who are ready to face the world with confidence and compassion.

Classroom
To facilitate optimal learning, all classrooms, labs, music rooms, and art rooms are equipped with projectors, computers, Interactive Camera Projector-Based (intelligent boards) in several classes, high-speed internet connections, speakers, and webcams for online/onsite learning.
Hostels
We have conducive boarding accommodation in a serene environment, tailored towards preparing students for adult life. The hostels have a central area(common room) where students can come together to study and socialize. Adult supervision is guaranteed as we have experienced live-in boarding house parents.
The School Library
The library offers resources and programs to foster a lifelong desire and love of reading. It aims to meet the needs of all learners and helps develop research and digital literacy skills to succeed in their lives.
The library has periodicals, newspapers, reference books, and a continuously updated collection of fiction and non-fiction titles. Our teachers, school administrators, and librarians carefully select books annually for informative and educational purposes, with selections tailored to appropriate age groups. It provides computers for students and teachers to access the library’s catalogue system and digital resources such as e-books, e-journals, and other electronic materials.
Year-round activities promote the full use of the school library, foster students’ healthy reading habits, improve their use of English and other foreign languages, and encourage an inquisitive mind.
Science Laboratories
Laboratories for General Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are equipped with cutting-edge equipment and excellent facilities that meet the needs of students from Year 1 – Year 12. These laboratories are well-maintained and ensure a safe learning environment. Our students are provided with student-centred learning materials and many opportunities for hands-on activities, which help them develop critical thinking, collaboration, and investigative skills.
ICT Laboratories
The school has two ICT laboratories; one in the Primary section and the other in the Secondary section, and several robotic kits for students. All computers are installed with the latest Microsoft OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Corel Graphic Suite, Scratch, Python, WordPress and internet facilities. The ICT curriculum is well integrated into most subject areas. The laboratories have projectors, computers with internet connections, speakers, and webcams for practical, CBT exams and Online learning.
School Auditorium
The School Auditorium [Hall] is used for all major school functions. This space is ideal for major school events like special assemblies, student concerts, productions, competitions, inter-school activities, and exhibitions. It also serves as the exam hall for most Cambridge, WAEC, and NECO examinations.
Sports Facilities
The covered court is used for school assemblies and various sports events. We also have a running track and courts for basketball, badminton, and football. To encourage students to be mindful of their physical health and the importance of physical education, we provide a variety of activities where students can explore different sports and other wellness activities like ballet, dance, and aerobics. We also have several board games like Wort, Ayo, Chess, Ludo and Scrabble.
Art and Design Rooms
The school’s art and design rooms are equipped with materials that students need to explore their creative talents and showcase their artistic talents. There are various supplies for different types of media, including sculpting, sewing, oil painting, watercolour, and acrylics.
Music Rooms
The school’s music rooms offer a variety of musical instruments to enhance students’ musical abilities, including pianos, guitars, violins, keyboards, recorder, saxophone, drum sets, and other instruments. These resources enrich their knowledge of music and their understanding of culture.
Cafeteria
The school cafeteria offers a range of healthy and rich meal options for both the students in the hostels and the entire school community.
Books, Supplies, and Uniforms Store
The school stocks necessary stationery, such as notebooks, paper, and various miscellaneous items to aid learning, which students are provided with at the start of each school year. The store also stocks prescribed school uniforms and house t-shirts that students use throughout the year.
Playground
The school offers safe playgrounds to promote students’ well-being, with teachers on duty actively supervising during play hours.
